The Indoor and Radiological Health (IRH) program has the responsiblity to respond to radiological incidents and emergencies in the State of Indiana. The IRH program is also responsible for providing technical assistance to the Indiana State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in the event of a nuclear power plant incident at any of the four nuclear power plants that are within fifty miles of the Indiana border.

Incidents involving radioactive materials or radiation producing devices should be reported to the Indiana State Department of Health, Indoor and Radiological Health Program at one of the following numbers:
