On behalf of ECHO's bi-lingual teams I would like to
announce the availability of our H1N1 materials produced in 12 different
languages for broadcast and/or circulation on Radio, TV specials on 'Know What
to do about H1N1 Flu', Public Service Announcements, Web, toll-free-phone
(888-883-8831), print materials and more. All files are accessible on ECHO's
one-stop-shopping web page www.echominnesota.org/H1N1.
Languages include Amharic, Arabic, English, Hmong, Karen (Burmese), Khmer
(Cambodian), Lao, Oromo, Russian, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese. Details about
these materials and how to access them can be found in the attached letter to
ECHO Partners in health, safety and emergency preparedness. Funded by the
Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), ECHO will continue to work with MDH should
additional multi-lingual communication needs arise.
All of these materials are or will soon be broadcasting on
community-based radio stations, cable and public TV stations, and circulated
through ethnic media and ECHO partnerships including YOUR ORGANIZATION. We
ask you to please link to www.echominnesota.org/H1N1 and
direct limited English proficiency staff and residents to our
materials.
