Circumstances: On 11/11/1981, 15-year-old Marie Bridget Patrick from Cincinnati, OH, and a 16-year-old female friend were in the process of running away from home to Texas. While hitchhiking, they were picked up by a truck driver in Cincinnati who identified himself only as “Bill”. While on I-64 at mile marker 67, the girls demanded to be let out amid sexual advances and threats from the truck driver. A struggle ensued and Marie was stabbed. Marie shoved her friend out the door of the moving truck and she suffered a minor injury, but Marie was unable to get away. The friend survived, but Marie was found dead of a fractured skull 5 miles further down the interstate. The truck driver has never been identified.
