Fallen Soldier Monument

The Indiana Veterans' Home was proud to be chosen by artist, Mark Kuszmaul to host his work, entitled "Fallen Soldier". This 30-foot tall bronze statue was installed on the IVH inner circle late in 2015 and formally dedicated, with assistance from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, on Memorial Day of 2016.

Mark Kuszmaul is the son of a World War II veteran and welded the monument from sheet metal. The construction took three years to complete. Designed as a symbol of admiration for all fallen soldiers, the monument is a constant reminder of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Several locations throughout the state of Indiana were considered for final placement, and IVH is honored to have been selected to host this monument.

Located directly in front of the Mitchell Building on the inner circle for the viewing pleasure of IVH residents, plans are in place to expand the area around the statue with a reflection pond and engraved paving stones.

IVH is not currently taking orders for additional engraved bricks at this time. The order form will be reposted when orders are opened back up.
