The State Commission on Improving the Status of Children will meet October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Conference Rooms 1 & 2 at the Indiana Government Center South. The meeting is open to the public. Thanks to the Indiana Department of Education, the meeting will be videotaped and the archived video will be placed online at a later date. Public testimony will not be taken at the October 16, 2013 Commission meeting. If members of the public wish to provide recommendations to the Commission regarding Legislative Council Resolution 13-01, please submit the recommendations in writing to Angela Reid-Brown at email@example.com by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013.

The multi-branch statewide Commission is aimed at improving the status of children in Indiana. In cooperation with other entities, members of the State Commission on Improving the Status of Children will study issues concerning vulnerable youth, review and make recommendations concerning pending legislation, and promote information sharing and best practices.
