Friday, May 10, 2013, the ISBA and JLAP are sponsoring a CLE on the Attorney Surrogate Rule. The program is approved for 3 hours of ethics. A knowledgeable and talented panel of attorneys and judges will educate you about the importance of designating your own Attorney Surrogate, how the rule operates, and the resources available to assist in the appointment and performance of Attorney Surrogates. Learn how we can prepare for these situations and reduce the stress for everyone involved. The program will be held at 30 S. Meridian, 8th floor, Indianapolis from 1-4:30 pm. Purpose: Provide a safe and confidential place for lawyers, judges and law students to discuss concerns regarding their own substance use. The purpose of the group is to share in problem solving, provide support and reduce isolation. This is a peer support group and is not intended to replace treatment or structured 12-step work but to provide another alternative to supplement such programs.
When: Third Wednesday of every month, 5:30 PM

Purpose: Provide a safe and confidential place for judges, lawyers and law students to exchange ideas about coping with the stress of the practice, depression and other mental health issues, to support one another and to reduce isolation.
When: First Tuesday of every month

Purpose: To provide a safe and confidential place for legal professionals to explore and discuss life barriers and solutions while providing support and facilitating personal growth. More info
