Interview times set for 30 Supreme Court applicants

The Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) will conduct public interviews of the thirty applicants for the Supreme Court judicial position. The interviews are public and will take place in the State House, room 319.

Justice Dickson to retire April 29, 2016

​Indiana Justice Brent E. Dickson will step down from the bench April 29, 2016 after 30 years as a judicial branch leader. He is Indiana's 100th Supreme Court justice and the second-longest-serving justice in state history. The Judicial Nominating Commission will search for a successor to fill the vacancy.

​Justice Dickson was appointed to the Court by Governor Robert D. Orr in 1986, served as Chief Justice for two years (stepping down in August 2014 and remaining on the Court) and announced his upcoming retirement in November 2015. A more complete biography can be found online.
