Indiana Pro Bono / Legal Assistance
District 14 Legal Volunteers Serving Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Orange, Scott, and Washington Counties
We work to volunteer legal time and talents assuring the poor, elderly and disabled representation within our legal system.
Legal Volunteers Financial Policy: Legal Volunteers is required by its funding source to adhere to financial guidelines that are similar to those used by other agencies offering legal assistance to the low income population. The policy of Indiana Legal Services is to serve those clients who are within 125% of the Federal Poverty Level, and Legal Volunteers has adopted that rule. This is set up on a sliding scale according to the number of household members under the direct support and responsibility of the applicant. The 125% figure can be “stretched” under special circumstances.
