Support Groups in Indiana

There are a limited number of support groups in Indiana which offer people with visual impairments and their families the chance to share experiences, information, and advice and the opportunity to participate in a variety of social activities.

For Lafayette and surrounding areas.
Meetings are held at the Lafayette Eye Center on the second Thursday of each month from 6-8 p.m. and on the fourth Thursday of each month from 2-4 p.m. For further information contact:

VIP (Visually Impaired Persons)
For northwestern Indiana.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pastric Branch of the East Chicago Public Library. For further information contact:

The Sight Loss Support Group of the Wabash ValleyServes persons from Rockville to Brazil.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 6-8 p.m. at the Terre Haute Public Library and on the third Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. at the Breden Memorial Methodist Church in Terre Haute. For more information contact:

The Low Vision Support Group of Vanderburgh County

Program for the Visually Impaired
For Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
Adults meet the second Wednesday of every month except January from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Family Service Association.  The support group is a social/educational group with monthly speakers.  For more information contact:
