Award Honors Historic Preservation Stewardship

SHRAB Governor's AwardsThe State Historic Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) seeks nominations for its 2010 Governor’s Award. The Governor's Award was created in 2006 to keep with SHRAB’s mission to identify potential problems, establish collaborative initiatives, and offer solutions to enhance the preservation, accessibility, and recognition of Indiana’s valuable historic records. The Award honors individuals who have contributed substantially toward the preservation, recognition, or appreciation of Indiana's historic records through their support, leadership, innovation and volunteerism. Each year, one professional and one volunteer are honored for their service.

Nominations for the Governor's Award must be postmarked by Monday, November 15, 2010 for consideration this year. The Award recipients will be recognized on December 10, 2010 at the Indiana Statehouse as part of the Statehood Day celebration.

More information about SHRAB and the nomination form and guidelines for the Governor’s Award are available on the SHRAB website.

Funding & Technology Survey Due Friday

2010 Public Library Funding & Technology Access SurveyThe deadline to complete the 2010 Public Library Funding & Technology Access Survey is November 5, 2010. The survey, funded by the American Library Association and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has fewer questions than last year and is only required for libraries receiving Gates Opportunity Online grants. However, all libraries are invited to participate and all libraries are welcome to participate.
