TeachingBooks.net Webinars Available Online For those who could not attend the recent workshops co-sponsored by the State Library, Department of Education, State Reading Association and AISLE, TeachingBooks.net has provided links to video recordings that offer an overview on how to utilize this resource to directly support your literacy and library programming. Go to the TeachingBooks.net Support Area to view these videos, including a 3-minute brief overview, an 11-minute detailed overview, a variety of 30-minute specific use demonstrations, and a note sheet to extend the viewing experience of the videos. TeachingBooks.net is available free for all Indiana librarians, educators and residents via INSPIRE. This interactive resource invigorates your reading programs and lesson plans by integrating books and authors into all K–12 curricular areas. TeachingBooks.net resources make learning fun for the student by facilitating meaningful, multimedia connections to the books everyone is reading. The online database is developed and maintained to include thousands of resources about fiction and nonfiction books used in the K–12 environment, with every resource selected to encourage the integration of multimedia author and book materials into reading and library activities. Also, be sure to check out Indiana-specific resources like reading lists for the Young Hoosier Book and Rosie Awards, and for resources featuring Indiana authors and illustrators. For instant access to TeachingBooks.net via your INSPIRE subscription go to the INSPIRE Databases portal and click on "TeachingBooks.net."
