Historical Note:

Adams County is located in the North Eastern portion of Indiana.  It was founded in 1836 and was named after John Quincy Adams.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains items related to Adams County, owned by Dick Heller of Decatur, Indiana, who allowed the collection to be microfilmed.   These materials include Sanborn maps of Adams County, a register of fines, information regarding soldiers and their families, tax lists and other important historical and genealogical information.  This collection is contained on two reels of microfilm.  Information on the microfilm is divided into 19 sections, as listed below.
