Biographical Note:

Benjamin Franklin Adams was thirteen years old when he and his friend, D. W. Nelson, drew three newspapers in Fairfield, Indiana. No other information is available on B. F. Adams. 

Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains three handwritten newspapers from Fairfield, Indiana.  The newspapers include, “The Joker’s Budget”, “The Illustrated Journal”, and “The Weekly Journal”.  Each paper contains articles, poetry, comics, and advertisements for local businesses.  B. F. Adams and D. W. Nelson are listed as proprietors and editors.
