The Indiana Civil Rights Commission in conjunction with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission cordially invite schools grades 6-8 to attend the 23rd Annual Statewide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Youth Summit and Statehouse Program. Next year's program will take place Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 9:30 am-1:30 pm.
Students will begin their journey at the Indiana State Museum located at 650 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Following the Indiana State Museum program, students will travel one block east to the Indiana Statehouse for the Statehouse program. This program will be highlighted by a keynote address, the presentation of awards and remarks by the Governor. Following the program, students will have the opportunity to explore the historic Indiana Statehouse prior to leaving.
There is no cost to attend the 23rd Annual Statewide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational Youth Summit and Statehouse Program and lunch is provided free of charge. Schools wishing to attend this event should contact: Brad Meadows, Indiana Civil Rights Commission, (317) 232-6580.
