Proposed Nonsubstantive (Technical) Rule Amendments Update

Another component of the Commission's Fish and Wildlife Rule Enhancement Project involves the preparation of three "housekeeping/clarification" rule amendment packages. These three technical packages primarily re-order language and combine related topics to improve clarity and simplicity.

    • FW: Deer “Housekeeping” Package (LSA #09-44(F); Admin. Cause No. 08-189D)
      (1st Technical Package)

The Natural Resources Commission granted final adoption of LSA #09-44(F) at its September 22, 2009 meeting with revision.  The revision removed the proposed amendment that would have authorized the hunting of deer with firearms on military reserves and national wildlife refuges to begin October 1.  LSA #09-44(F) is presently being reviewed by the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.

You may review and comment on the following two proposed rule amendment proposals here.

    • FW: Wild Animals, Mammals and Birds (LSA #09-479; Admin. Cause No. 09-026D)
      (2nd Technical Package)

Update: A public hearing has been scheduled for December 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., EST in the Indiana Government Center North, 100 North Senate Avenue, Room N501, Indianapolis, Indiana.
