The Indiana Department of Homeland Securities (IDHS), Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission/Code Services adopts the code of building and fire safety laws that affect all buildings classified as Class 1 or Class 2 structures in the state of Indiana.   ASHRAE 90.1-2007, which was adopted in May 2010, and IECC 2009, which is in the adoption process (as of Summer 2011), falls under DHS’s purview.  Information about the adoption, implementation and interpretation of the new energy codes can be obtained by clicking here.
