Two docketed cases regarding Sugar Creek Utility Company, Inc. – which provides water and sewer utility service in Hancock County – are currently pending before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC).

In IURC Cause No. 43579, the utility is seeking an increase in its rates and charges. An IURC public field hearing and OUCC information meeting were held April 15 at Greenfield Middle School.

In Cause No. 43534, the IURC is conducting a formal investigation of Sugar Creek Utility Company’s operations, billing practices and rate structure.

The utility and the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) have filed testimony in both cases.
