Chandler Municipal Water Rate Case

UPDATE: An IURC order was issued on February 6, 2019.

The Town of Chandler is seeking a water rate increase and financing authority in a pending case.

To review the IURC case file for Cause No. 45062, please click here. Chandler filed its petition and testimony (Coghill, Kaufman, and Miller) on March 13, 2018, along with supplemental testimony on April 13, 2018.

The OUCC recommends reducing the utility's requested increase of nearly 50 percent to approximately 29.3 percent. Testimony the OUCC filed on August 10, 2018 includes:

The IURC approved Chandler's current water rates in 2010.

Municipal sewer utilities are exempt from IURC oversight. Locally elected city and town councils approve their rates.
