Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has received approval to install new pollution control equipment at its Rockport Generating Facility in southwestern Indiana, along with approval to recover the construction costs through rates beginning at least 6 months after the start of construction.

The IURC's November 13, 2013 order (39 pages) approved a settlement agreement among the OUCC, I&M, and a group of I&M's industrial customers. For more information, please see the news release jointly issued by the settling parties.

All publicly filed documents in the case are available from the IURC Website by clicking here and entering docket number 44331.

In a previous case (IURC Cause No. 44033), I&M sought approval for a larger and more expensive emissions reduction plan.

I&M filed a motion to dismiss the case in February 2013, which the IURC granted in March.
