Genetic Counselor Renewal Information
NEXT RENEWAL DEADLINE: JUNE 30, 2012
Genetic Counselor licenses are renewed every two years. The expiration date is June 30th of even numbered years. Renewal notification information will be e-mailed out to all licensees that hold a current license during the first week of May. It is very important that you make sure that Professional Licensing Agency has your correct email address. Email and address changes may be made by logging into your license account at https://mylicense.in.gov/EGov/Login.aspx
Renewal fee is $30.00 if renewed on or before June 30th. If renewed after June 30th a late fee of $50.00 will be due in addition to your renewal fee.
Continuing Education: To renew your license, you must have fifty (50) contact hours that been approved by the National Society of Genetic Counselors within the 2 year licensure period.
Approved by the Medical Board - Any Genetic Counselor licensed from January 1, 2012 through May 30, 2012 will not be required to obtain any contact hours for renewal. All others regardless of how long you have been licensed are required to have the full 50 contact hours. If you are unable to obtain them, you may request a hardship waiver with the Board.CONTACT INFORMATION
