Notification of Natural Hair Braiding Deregulation

Effective July 1, 2017, Pursuant to House Enrolled Act 1243, the practice of natural hair braiding is exempt from regulation concerning beauty culture. For more information and a copy of the enrolled act please visit the Indiana General Assembly website here. For non-enforceable, general practice guidelines concerning sanitation and equipment, please refer to Article 3, Title 820 of the Indiana Administrative Code, which can be accessed by clicking here.
