INDIANAPOLIS (December 19, 2008) - Governor Mitch Daniels today announced the appointment of William G. Bruns as judge of the Muncie City Court. He succeeds Judge Linda Ralu Wolf, who was elected judge of Delaware Circuit Court 3.
Bruns, of Muncie, is currently a partner at Cannon & Bruns Attorneys, where he has practiced law since 1971. He also works as an attorney for the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Muncie Sanitary District. Bruns formerly served as chief deputy prosecuting attorney of the 46th Judicial Circuit and as a legal officer in the United States Air Force.
Bruns is a member of the board of directors of the Muncie Jaycees, the United Fund, and the Muncie Y.M.C.A.
He received his undergraduate degree from American University and law degree from Indiana University School of Law.
His appointment will be effective January 1.
