Train-the-Trainer courses will be held in each region of the United States, throughout 2009. The eight-hour course will focus on:
. Legal and operational vehicular pursuit policy issues, consistent with IACP pursuit policy guidelines.
. The most advanced and proven techniques for vehicular pursuits.
. Skills and materials necessary to conduct workshops.
There are specific requirements to participate in the train-the-trainer courses. The requirements are as follows, but not limited to:
. Instruct four-hour workshop(s) in local area.
. Report results to Pursuit database.
Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed based on federal per diem rates.
Registration must be made through http://pursuittraining.org/. DO NOT TRY TO REGISTER THROUGH THE ILEA TRATS REGISTRATION SYSTEM.
