Troopers Report Quiet Memorial Day Weekend

Evansville - To help ensure the safety of all motorists during the Memorial Day weekend, Indiana State Police participated in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) and SWDUIEP

(Statewide Driving Under the Influence Project).  Troopers targeted drivers who were speeding, following too closely, making unsafe lane changes, driving aggressively and not buckling up.  Troopers also concentrated their efforts in locating impaired drivers throughout the entire weekend.  There were no fatal crashes reported to the Indiana State Police in southwest Indiana during the holiday weekend.
