The Indiana State Department of Health reports eight new confirmed cases of the novel H1N1 flu in the following counties: Marion (6) and Tippecanoe (2).
These eight new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases of the novel H1N1 flu in Indiana to 146, with the following county breakdown:
- Daviess (1)
- Elkhart (2)
- Hamilton (4)
- Hendricks (1)
- Lake (41)
- Madison (1)
- Marion (79)
- Monroe (2)
- Porter (5)
- Putnam (3)
- St. Joseph (2)
- Tippecanoe (5)
The breakdown of confirmed cases by age group (years), include:
- 0-4 (28)
- 5-24 (95)
- 25-64 (21)
- 65+ (2)
There is one newly reported hospitalization associated with the novel H1N1 influenza A virus in Indiana (total of 7 since April 20, 2009). There are currently no reported deaths associated with the novel H1N1 influenza A virus in Indiana.
The Indiana State Department of Health will report any new confirmed cases of H1N1 by 10:00 a.m. each day. Consumers can visit the www.IN.gov/flu for more information about the novel H1N1 outbreak.
