Indiana State Police troopers from the Redkey District conducted driving while impaired patrol during the evening hours of June 20^th, and early morning hours of the 21^st within the Redkey District which includes Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.

The Indiana State Police is committed to traffic safety, and will continue to conduct sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols for the remainder of 2009 to apprehend impaired drivers, and to deter others from drinking and driving.

The following information is the results from the DUI enforcement patrols:

• Driving while intoxicated misdemeanor arrests:   7
• Driving while intoxicated felony arrest:                  1                            
• Possession of marijuana arrest:                               1
• Possession of drug paraphernalia arrest:               1
• Traffic violation citations:                                      48
• Traffic violation warnings:                                     77
