Celebrate the Independence Day with old-fashioned fun at Spring Mill State Park on July 4. Visitors are invited to join in on a full day of activities, programs, and crafts in the Pioneer Village.
Civil War reenactors will discuss what life was like back then for soldiers. Other period actors will teach how to prepare food over fire, demonstrate other period activities, and help visitors explore the many buildings, shops and gardens of the Pioneer Village.
Children staying in the park's campground are invited to take part in an evening Children's Parade, for which they can decorate bikes and wagons with patriotic flair. The night will conclude with a program on bats at the campground amphitheater.
Park entrance fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.
