U.S. 30 and S.R. 49 Lanes Restricted during Bridge Painting Construction

Restrictions scheduled for Monday through mid-August

PORTER COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces U.S. 30 and State Road 49 (S.R. 49) in Porter County will be restricted to one lane at various locations Monday through mid-August during overhead bridge painting construction.

The locations include:

Also beginning July 6, the ramp from northbound S.R. 49 to westbound U.S. 30 will close for approximately three weeks. During the closure, posted signs will direct traffic to continue on S.R. 49 north to State Road 2 (S.R. 2) west to S.R. 49 south to U.S. 30 west.

The bridge painting projects are scheduled for completion in September 2009. Lane restrictions under the bridges will adjust as the projects progress.
