S.R. 212 Closed during Railroad Crossing Resurface Construction

Closure scheduled for Monday through Friday

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 212 (S.R. 212) between U.S. 35 and U.S. 12 will be closed July 6-10. This will allow CSX Railroad crews to resurface their railroad crossing.

Residents and businesses will have access to their properties on either side of the railroad crossing, but through traffic will be detoured. Eastbound S.R. 212 traffic will be directed to take U.S. 35 north to U.S. 12 east and back to S.R. 212. Westbound traffic will be directed to take U.S. 12 west to U.S. 35 south and back to S.R. 212.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot.
