Canoe & Kayak at Patoka Lake on Saturday, July 18th

 WHO:  Everyone welcome!
 WHAT:  Canoe & Kayak into Nature
 WHEN:  Saturday, July 18th    
 12p.m.  Eastern Time
 WHERE:  Little Patoka Boat Ramp
 DNR, Patoka Reservoir
 HOW:  Bring your canoe or kayak and join the naturalist for a water tour of  Patoka Lake Saturday, July18th 12 noon at Little Patoka boat ramp. You can also meet the naturalist at the Visitor Center at 11a.m for a car caravan to Little Patoka Boat Ramp. Enjoy the afternoon on the waters of Patoka as we check out a beautiful old rock quarry and look for wildlife from bald eagles to otter. Bring insect repellent, preferred refreshments and wear sunscreen for this 2-hour journey. Canoes available from DNR while supplies last.

This event is free with a $5 per vehicle ($7 out-of-state) gate fee fort the Newton Stewart State Recreation area. For directions or more information regarding activities, programs and special events, call the  Visitor Center at 812.685.2447.
