Marion Woman Killed in Crash

 

Indiana State Police investigated a crash yesterday morning at 11:23 a.m. in Marion, Indiana that claimed the life of a local woman. Trooper Doug Jackson (Redkey District) witnessed and investigated the two vehicle crash that occurred at Western Avenue and 27th Street.

 

Karen L. Roush, age 67, 5751 E. C.R. 100 N. Marion, Indiana was driving a 2005 Mercury mini-van southbound on Western Avenue, for an unknown reason traveled across the four lane road and struck a northbound 1995 Pontiac, driven by Taylor O. O'Banion, age 18, 1803 N. Dumont Drive Marion, Indiana.

 

Roush was killed in the crash and a passenger in the Pontiac, Kolby Q. O'Banion, age 16, 1803 N. Dumont Drive Marion, Indiana was injured. Both teens were taken to Marion General Hospital.

 

Marion Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene. The investigation continues into the cause of the crash.
