Troopers Discover Meth and Marijuana, Mother Arrested for Neglect

Princeton - Thursday afternoon, July 30, Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information regarding illegal drug activity occurring at a residence located at 604 East Broadway in Princeton.  Troopers arrived at the residence at approximately 1:00 p.m. and conducted a search.  Troopers discovered small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana inside a compartment in the arm rest of a couch.  Two boys, ages one and three, were present at the time of the search.  The boy's mother, Brittney L. Ray, 21, was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.  Gibson County Child Protective Services took both boys into protective custody.

  1. 2 Counts of Neglect of a Dependent, Class D Felony
  2. Possession of Methamphetamine, Class D Felony
  3. Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony
  4. Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
  5. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
