INDIANAPOLIS (October 1, 2009) - CVS Caremark today announced plans to distribute free flu shot vouchers to unemployed residents of Elkhart and Indianapolis. The vouchers, provided by CVS Caremark as part of a nationwide campaign, will be distributed at four WorkOne Centers in Indiana.
"DWD welcomes the opportunity to work with CVS Caremark to vaccinate unemployed Hoosiers in these areas against the flu," said Teresa Voors, Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
WorkOne Centers in Indianapolis and Elkhart will distribute the flu shot vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, while supplies last.
To receive a voucher, participants will be required to show their state-issued unemployment insurance Visa debt card and photo identification. Vouchers are restricted to unemployed Hoosiers aged 18 and over.
The vouchers can be redeemed at select CVS/pharmacy and Minute Clinic locations. The day, time and location of CVS Flu Shot Clinics can be found at www.cvs.com/flu or 888-FLU-SHOT.
