Hallow-scream Weekend, Turkey Run SP, Oct. 23-24

Pumpkin carving and Jack O' Jump races are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 24. The pet and people costume contest is at 3 p.m., Oct. 24, with trophies awarded after contest. There will not be an awards ceremony later in the evening.

All other information for the Hallow-scream Weekend at Turkey Run State Park, Friday evening, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24 is correct.

Friday features the Haunted Adventure. Starting at the Olympic pool, tour a Haunted Asylum and a Chop Shop, then take an eerie hike through Terror Woods. Cost is $2 per person. This haunting activity is open from 8 to 11 p.m. and is not recommended for young children.

On Saturday, campers can trick-or-treat between 6 and 7:30 p.m., and enter their decorated campsite in a contest for $1. Bring a flashlight for the Monster Egg Hunt at 9 p.m., and take another journey through the Haunted Adventure between 8 and 11 p.m.

This two-day event is perfect for families, as well as for organized groups and clubs. There is no charge for the races and crafts.
