STATEHOUSE (Oct. 23, 2009) - State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) said low-income households can get help heating their homes this winter by applying to the state's Energy Assistance Program.
Buck said the program, managed by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, offers low-income households financial assistance to continue utility services during the winter heating season.
"This program is implemented throughout the state by Community Action agencies," Buck said. "Outreach offices operated by these agencies are located in every county and Hoosiers can contact these offices with questions regarding how the program works and the application process."
