The Indiana Dunes State Park Nature Center will offer its popular Singing Sands pre-school program again on Fridays through the month of November. 

Parents with children between 3 and 5 years of age may sign up their child for an hour of natural fun exploring the forests, wetlands, and prairies of the Indiana Dunes.  Each program will meet in the Nature Center at 11 a.m. and involve a special discussion, story, and activity, followed by a short nature walk. 

Registration is required, and space is limited to the first 15 children. All programs fill up quickly.  A parent must be present during the program.  Cost is $5 for each session or all four sessions for $15.  Program dates are Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27.  Deadline to register is the Thursday before each program.

Each week will have a special topic.  The activities and walks will revolve around that particular topic.  The topics, in order, will be "snakes," "owls," "beaver," and "rabbit."
