Governor Mitch Daniels sent a letter to the Indiana members of the U.S. House of Representatives today to ask them to carefully weigh the negative impact currently-debated health care legislation would create for Indiana and individual Hoosiers. A vote is expected on health care reform legislation in the House as early as this weekend.
"The current House bill is the worst version yet, with truly awful consequences for Indiana," Daniels wrote.
He suggested that efforts be directed on measures that will reduce health care costs, expand personal choice and give first priority to restoring a pro-jobs, pro-growth environment throughout the country.
The complete letter may be found at this link: http://www.in.gov/gov/files/Press/Visclosky_letter.pdf
The letter at the link is addressed to Congressman Pete Visclosky. The same letter also was sent to Representatives Donnelly, Souder, Buyer, Burton, Pence, Carson, Ellsworth and Hill this afternoon.
