EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that the Lloyd Expressway and Fulton Avenue interchange project is preparing for the next phase of construction.
On Thursday, November 5th, sometime after the lunch hour rush, motorists travelling west bound on Lloyd Expressway will notice traffic pattern changes at the Fulton Avenue Interchange. One lane of west bound traffic will be diverted to a dedicated lane in the newly constructed east bound lanes and one lane will be maintained in the existing west bound lanes.
Beginning Monday, November 16th, additional lane restrictions will take place. Information outlining those details are forthcoming.
The Fulton Avenue and Lloyd Expressway interchange project is a part of Governor Mitch Daniels' Major Moves highway program. Major Moves fully funds a decade of critical highway projects and capitalizes on Indiana's strategic location at the Crossroads of America by building a superior road infrastructure. This innovative plan will bring jobs to the Hoosier State and leave a legacy for Indiana to be a global leader in distribution and logistics.
The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds motorists to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through work zones. For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot.
