Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, Senior Motor Carrier Inspector/District Coordinator Diann Nichols has released the October 2009 enforcement results for the motor carrier inspectors assigned to the Redkey District, which includes Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.
Motor carrier inspectors focused their efforts on commercial motor inspections to include: driver licensing, medical certification verification, log book entries, vehicle licensing, vehicle mechanical components, emergency equipment and annual vehicle inspection certifications as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
The Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division motor carrier inspectors conduct these inspections most generally along Indiana roadways and at weigh stations 24 hours a day in all weather conditions.

The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division motor carrier inspectors remind motorists that increased commercial motor vehicle traffic will be on the roads delivering goods and services.
"We want all motorists to use caution while driving in and around large trucks, particularly when the roads are busy with holiday travelers and delivery trucks", said Senior Motor Carrier Inspector/District Coordinator Diann Nichols.
