On today's date at approximately 4:16 PM, officers were called to 3927 Bogardus Road, Scott County, near Austin, after a 911 call came into Scott County Dispatch in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. When officers arrived at the scene they found two men shot. One man, Robin L Everitt, 59, resident of the address where the shootings took place was deceased and another man, friend of the deceased, was shot in the stomach area. Scott County E.M.S. arrived and requested an air ambulance that transported the wounded male to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

After completing their initial investigation detectives from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg were able to determine the shootings took place inside the residence and the alleged shooter was Jason F. Uhlenbrock, 29, Austin, IN. Jason F. Uhlenbrock was visiting his mother and step father, the deceased, when he allegedly shot both victims. The reason for the shootings is still under investigation at this time.  

Jason F. Uhlenbrock left the scene after the shootings on a bicycle but was detained shortly after the 911 call was made by officers near Bogardus Road and State Road 256, approximately one mile from the crime scene. Jason F. Uhlenbrock was arrested by Indiana State Police Detectives and charged with Murder and Attempted Murder, A Felony. He was incarcerated in the Scott County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.

This investigation is continuing.
