October 2009 Enforcement Results Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division - Seymour District

Indiana State Police Senior Motor Carrier Inspector/District Coordinator, John Higgins, has released the October enforcement results for the motor carrier inspectors assigned to the Seymour District. Seymour District's Inspectors are primarily assigned to cover Bartholomew, Jackson and Jennings Counties.

The goals of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division are to reduce the number of CMV crashes, and therefore the number of injuries, and fatalities related to CMV crashes. As well as, to reduce the damage to Indiana's highways and bridges caused by overweight vehicles, (for every ten percent increase in weight, over 80,000 lbs, the damage to our highways increases by forty percent).
