INDIANAPOLIS-State Senator John Broden (D-South Bend) has announced a public forum on the Department of Child Services to take place later this month in South Bend. Sen. Broden is joined by State Senator Carlin Yoder (R-Middlebury) in hosting the event, scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on October 18 in Room 1121 of the Ivy Tech Community College - South Bend Campus, 220 Dean Johnson Road.
Sen. Broden says the public forum will give area residents a chance to air their concerns about agency operations and offer solutions to improve Indiana's services for abused and neglected children. The forum is designed to supplement the work presently being done by a legislative study committee examining the services offered to at-risk children in Indiana.
