INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2007) - Governor Mitch Daniels today announced the appointment of Carol Goodwin as judge of the New Castle City Court.  She succeeds Judge James Small who resigned on January 23.

Goodwin is currently vice president of Goodwin Bros. Automobile Co., Inc and previously served as president of the New Castle-Henry County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She also serves as president of the Henry County Convention and Visitor's Bureau Board of Directors and is co-chair of the Community Matters cooperative spirit committee. Goodwin also chaired the steering committee for the Indiana University East Danielson Learning Center.

Her appointment is effective immediately.
