Governor Daniels' statement about passage of the state budget (HB1001) today in the Indiana Senate:

"Hoosier taxpayers owe the Senate a big round of applause. This budget holds spending growth to 4 percent, as I asked, and therefore balances without a tax increase while adding strongly to education funding. Thanks to the large bipartisan majority that passed it; I hope to see and sign a final product that clearly resembles it."
