INDIANAPOLIS (January 23, 2007) - Governor Mitch Daniels announced today the appointment of Mark Holden to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation board of directors.
Holden is president and chief executive officer of American Commercial Lines Inc., one of the largest marine transportation companies in the U.S., headquartered in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He also serves on the board of directors of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to joining American Commercial Lines Inc., he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Wabash National Corporation. Holden received his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Ball State University.
"Mark's proven business talent and experience will be a great asset to the IEDC board as it continues to market Indiana worldwide and attract new business to Indiana," said Daniels.
Holden fills the seat of Clarence "Mac" McCormick, who died in a plane crash late last year. His appointment is effective immediately.

- William Mays of Indianapolis, president of Mays Chemical Company, Inc.
- Dane Miller of Warsaw, founder, president, CEO and director of Biomet, Inc.
- John Mutz of Indianapolis, retired president of PSI Energy, former lieutenant governor.
- Tim Solso of Columbus, chairman and CEO of the Cummins, Inc.
- Kip Tom of Leesburg, president of Tom Farms.
- Bruce White of Merrillville, chairman and CEO of White Lodging Services Corporation.
