INDIANAPOLIS (February 15, 2007) ¿ Governor Mitch Daniels today announced that he has appointed Cynthia Carrasco to serve as executive director of the State Ethics Commission.
Carrasco most recently served as a staff attorney for the state¿s Inspector General, preparing advisory opinions and other legal memoranda. She will provide advisory and administrative services for the five-member commission that considers and sanctions alleged violations of the state¿s ethics code.
Carrasco is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and the Indiana University School of Law ¿ Indianapolis. She previously served as a law clerk to United States District Court Judge David Briones in the Western District of Texas. She replaces Laura L. Forest, who resigned in December to accept a position with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.
