Today, in the Environmental Affairs committee, we heard testimony and voted on House Bill 1052 regarding onsite sewage systems. I supported the committee amendment that removed the portion of the bill that could cut local health department funding due to non-compliance. This amendment is a step in the right direction for the betterment of Hoosiers #INForAll
Today in the Appropriations Committee, we heard testimony on House Bill 1001, the State Budget. Community members and advocates shared their concerns about the lack of funding increases and potential budget cuts, particularly for essential services like food banks. These organizations play a critical role in ensuring that families and individuals in need have access to nutritious food #INForAll
Today in Pensions and Labor, we heard testimony on House Bill 1221 regarding pension matters. This bill would provide a thirteenth check for retirement funds of Indiana state teachers, public employees and state officers. I am proud to support HB 1221 that will benefit our retirees after all their hard work in our state and aiding our teachers and public employees. #INForAll
Today in Tax and Fiscal Committee, we heard testimony and voted on House Bill 1280 regarding the taxation of military income. Members in the military make the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and I am proud to support HB 1280 which would give tax exemptions for military pay in further aiding those who fight for our freedoms, futures, and families. #INForAll

After 25 years of development, the park is coming closer to reality with the help of public input through Public Open House Forums. Get involved and bring your ideas for the first park in 40 years in St. Joseph County through these links: www.sjcparks.org and www.sjcindia
