    Recently, the Town of Porter signed resolutions opposing legislation proposed by the Republican supermajority in the Statehouse.     Today in Appropriations Committee, we heard testimony on HB 1001 the State Budget. Testimony included proposals for new revenue sources to add funding for vital programs. Many of the agencies are facing cuts without replacement funding sources.     Today in Pensions and Labor, we heard testimony on HB 1289 which deals with employment social enterprises. I’m a proud co-sponsor of this bill, which will expand access to work-based learning and transition job programs for individuals who struggle to reenter the workforce.
