House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1001-2013 makes changes to IC 21-13-2, the Minority Teacher and Special Services Scholarship, effective July 1, 2013. HEA 1001-2013 removed the special education and occupational and physical therapy fields from this scholarship beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year.

The Scholarship application and FAFSA must be filed by the Commission's published deadline dates.
To renew the Scholarship, a minority student who qualified for the initial Scholarship must maintain the cumulative grade point average (GPA) required for admission to the institution’s school of education or at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent if the school does not require a minimum GPA.
2014-2015 Minorty Teacher Scholarship applications will be available mid-Summer 2014.
