Precious Metal Dealer Registration

Welcome to the Secretary of State’s online registration for resident Precious Metal Dealers and non-resident (foreign) Precious Metal Bullion and Currency Trade Shows. As of January 1, 2014, Precious Metal Dealers are required to register annually with the Secretary of State's office. Precious metal dealers must register both to do business in Indiana as well as a precious metal dealer.

Precious Metal Bullion and Currency Trade Shows

Non-resident (foreign) Precious Metal Bullion and Currency dealers wishing to participate in trade shows in Indiana must obtain an individual temporary registration from the Indiana Secretary of State for each show.

Non-resident Precious Metal Bullion and Currency dealers must obtain the temporary registration in order to engage in state sales tax-exempt sales at coin fairs and trade shows (Indiana Code 24-4-20).
